The resource was created with the understanding that health promotion is “the process of enabling people to increase control over their health and its determinants, and thereby improve their health”, as defined by the World Health Organization.

- “Community Health Assessment: Paint a Picture of Health in Your Community” is intended to help individuals develop an increased understanding of the overall health in their communities through an interactive multimedia exercise
- “Model for Capacity Building in Health Promotion” provides steps, insights, tips and tools for improving the health of communities
